This busy Placemakers site needed some partial re-roofing to stop water ingress and after a negotiation process Mount Maunganui Roofing were selected as the preferred contractor.
Being a six day operation, with closure on a weekday out of the question, we needed to work in with the client to select a weekend where they could shut-down and where our men were available to work overtime! A date was selected, the weather gods were prayed to and everything aligned.
A big effort on our guys’ behalf meant the re-roof was completed ahead of schedule and minimal disruption to Placemakers was incurred.

Working in the busy confines of down-town Mount Maunganui, with retail and hospitality patrons present, and businesses being operational meant a more considered approach than the typical re-roof.
We liaised with the restaurant owner / operator to ensure that our scaffold & safety needs were met and at the same time not impeding on their business requirements. This meant some early starts for the guys and a compressed project timeframe.
The weather played its part and we were able to get in and out with minimal disruption to all parties involved.

This re-roof project involved working within a busy industrial neighbourhood and managing multiple stakeholders.
The building itself was operational so good communication with the company’s supervision was needed to facilitate their work schedule and to isolate areas while we worked overhead.
With a reasonably tight site and busy neighbours we opted to complete very early crane up and downs to ensure minimal disruption.
Alongside the re-roofing we removed the internal gutter system and installed new 175 x 175mm box gutter to handle the rainfall on the exterior of the building.
We worked in with our preferred supplier to facilitate the removal, reinstatement and servicing of the HVAC units to enable us to complete the re-roofing works.
This was a relatively straight-forward project however adding the re-spouting and HVAC works means the roof should be worry free for the foreseeable future.
